The Phoenix Mark

NAWA Athletics has evolved from a symbol of resilience to a symbol of purpose. Our original Phoenix represented the determination to rise through adversity. Today, our new mark, inspired by the Philippine Eagle and the rays of the Philippine sun, reflects strength, vision, heritage, and leadership. It is a reminder that true growth is not just about overcoming challenges, but about rising high enough to inspire others.

The Phoenix was chosen because every meaningful journey begins with transformation.

It represented the person who refuses to stay down. The athlete who trains when motivation is gone. The parent who keeps showing up despite exhaustion. The entrepreneur who rebuilds after failure. The individual who emerges stronger through adversity.

The Phoenix symbolized:

  • Resilience — the ability to endure setbacks and keep moving forward.

  • Transformation — becoming a better version of yourself through discipline and hardship.

  • Renewal — every day is another opportunity to start again.

  • Perseverance — success is earned through consistency, not perfection.

  • Growth through adversity — struggle is not something to avoid, but something that shapes us.

The original mark embodied the belief that strength is forged in difficult seasons.

The Haribon Mark

The new mark builds upon that foundation while expanding the brand's identity. Inspired by the Philippine Eagle, the national bird of the Philippines, it represents strength, vision, leadership, and heritage. Rather than focusing on rising from the ashes, it symbolizes soaring with purpose and carrying forward the values that have already been forged through adversity.

The radiating elements draw inspiration from the Philippine sun, representing light, growth, and the impact we have on those around us. Together, the eagle and sun create a mark that honors both Filipino roots and the pursuit of excellence.

Alongside the eagle, we introduced the N/A mark.

Simple, modern, and intentional, N/A serves as the everyday symbol of the NAWA community. The slash represents forward movement, while the N and A stand as a reminder that limits, excuses, and expectations placed on us by others are not applicable here.

N/A = No Limits.

N/A = No Excuses.

N/A = Never Average.

N/A = Not Ordinary.

In times of great stress or adversity, it’s always
best to keep busy, to plow your anger
and your energy into something positive.

Why the Change?

For years, the Phoenix represented resilience, grit, and the ability to rise after every setback.

As NAWA Athletics continues to grow, so has our story.

Our new mark is inspired by the Philippine Eagle, the national bird of the Philippines, and the rays of the Philippine sun. It represents strength, vision, heritage, and the responsibility to lead by example.

The mission remains the same: build stronger people through discipline, purpose, and community.

This is not a departure from who we were.

It is the next chapter of who we are becoming.

The Phoenix taught us how to rise.

The Eagle teaches us how to soar.

The N/A mark represents the mindset.

Personal transformation can and does have global effects.
As we go, so goes the world, for the world is us.
The revolution that will save the world
is ultimately a personal one.
— Marianne Williamson
